JCHX Mining Management Co., Ltd. (hereinafter refered to as JCHX) and CITIC Heavy Industries signed Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) Construction Cooperation Framework Agreement and Long-term Strategic Cooperation Framework Agreement in Beijing on 19th December, 2013. Chairman of the Board from JCHX, Mr. Xiancheng Wang and Chairman of the Board from CITIC Heavy Industries Mr. Qinxin Ren, attended the signing ceremony.
The ceremony was held at the First Conference Room of JCHX in its Haidian Office. Deputy General Manager of CITIC Mr. Zhangfa Yu, other relevant leaders from CITIC, and senior managers of JCHX were in attendance.
So far TBM has been successfully applied to railway, road and hydro constructions; however, there is no precedent in application of TBM to mining industry. CITIC Heavy Industries now has researched and developed a new type of TBM for hard rock drilling, specifically based on the requirements of mining construction of JCHX, which enables JCHX to be the pioneer in utilizing TBM for mining construction works in China.
A very friendly and cooperative relationship has been established for years between CITIC Heavy Industries and our company. The signing of the above framework agreements not only creates a precedent in application of TBM to non-coal mining industry, but also lays a solid foundation for mutual development and long term stable cooperation between JCHX and CITIC Heavy Industries, which holds profound meaning in enhancement of brand image and market expansion.
