Mr. Qinghai Wang, Chairman of JCHX Mining recently attended the preparatory meeting for China-Zambia Belt and Road Joint Laboratory on Green and Safe Development of Mineral Resources, a national-level technological innovation platform. Also present at the meeting were Ms. Namakando, representing the Zambian Embassy in China; Professor Mundia Muya, President of the University of Zambia; as well as leaders from relevant Chinese government departments, universities, and enterprises.
Focusing on green mineral development, the Laboratory is jointly spearheaded by the University of Science and Technology Beijing and the University of Zambia, with JCHX actively participating in its establishment, which marks the first Belt and Road joint laboratory between China and Zambia. Collaborating with our partners to build this laboratory is a significant step for JCHX in participating in the high-quality co-construction of the Belt and Road Initiative and in fostering international cooperation within the mineral resources sector.
At the meeting, Mr. Wang introduced JCHX’s practical achievements since its “going global” initiative in 2003. Upholding the development philosophy of “technology-driven development” JCHX has consistently regarded scientific research and technological innovation as crucial pillars for high-quality and sustainable development. Besides, Mr. Wang highlighted the company’s active participation in the high-quality co-construction of the Belt and Road Initiative, as well as its extensive experience accumulated in areas such as the research and development of intelligent mining equipment, efficient deep-shaft mining, and the application of block caving. He also expressed that JCHX is willing to collaborate with domestic and international universities, research institutions, and industry peers to leverage complementary strengths in talent cultivation, scientific and technological research and development, and the transformation of innovative achievements, and jointly address and embrace new challenges and opportunities in global mineral resource development through further cooperation.
