Recently, a training for ore grade management of west ore body with sub-level stope method for in the conference room of Chambishi Project, with main training staff of team management and boom jumbo operators. The purpose of this training is mainly to improve productivity by promotion of the standardization of stope technology and quality , reduction of dilution and loss rate, and regulation of the operation of jumbo drivers.
Countless mining practice has proved that the ore dilution will reduce the beneficiation recovery and concentrate production, and add more production cost by increasing the ore processing amount of the concentrator. The ore loss will impede the efficient and full use of limited mineral resources of mine and escalate the cost of capital construction of unit tonnage of ore correspondingly, which will raise production cost, ungear preparation from actual mining and shorten the life expectancy of the mine. The mining dilution and loss rate is an important economic and technical index for direct measurement of mining quality, and a basic assessment index to measure quality of a mine, evaluate the technical management level and analyze the rationality of a mining method. Generally speaking, whether dilution or loss, both are unfavorable factors for mine production, and avoidable dilution and loss by accident is the main object for mine production management.
This training allowed the technical staff and team members to carry out an in-depth exchange on identification of rock boundaries, control of dilution caused loss, and formulation of management methods to reduce dilution and loss during sub-level stope mining. Through this training, the production team members have a new understanding of limits of rock boundaries, and have a deep acknowledgment to control of the dilution caused loss. It's believed that a very good implementation of technical norms will be forged in the future construction process, the dilution caused ore loss index will be reduced in the stope, so as to reduce production cost and increase work efficiency.
