
In the afternoon of 28 Feb, 1# ore pass in Yinshan Project was successfully completed and connected with -678mRL, 27 days ahead of schedule.
Ore passing & crushing system is the key project for sinking & driving engineering, featuring a complex structure, large quantities of support, concurrent developments at multiple levels, cross operations etc. Hence strict site management and highly efficient planning are required. Ore passes, connecting different levels, are the critical paths for ore passing & crushing system, the progress of which is crutial for the timely completion of constructing the whole system.
Ore passing & crushing system of Yinshan Project include a loading chamber and two ore passes at -378mRL, the extracted ore shall be conveyed through ore passes to the loading chamber on -678mRL and to crude ore bin, after that ROM ore shall be processed in the crushing chamber on -728mRL and transported to finished ore bin, finally sent to the surface through conveyor belt on -758mRL and skip. 1# ore pass is φ4m in diameter and 296m in total depth with elevation starting from -378mRL down to -674mRL, constructed by drop raising method. Utilization of mechanized equipment is limited due to small diameter, together with the strict standard from client, formulation of technical proposal is quite difficult.
HZ6 Rotating Clamshell and 0.4m³ grabber are utilized for mucking, which demand less labor and enhanced efficiency while ensuring safety. Despite of the fact that floor of decline is hardened which is not available for mucking, power supply is limited during Spring Festival, shortage of explosives etc, project team achieved a good performance in Feb of sinking & lining 90m per month at 1# ore pass (coppper ore) and 85m per month at another ore pass (lead & zinc).
Previously the only connection for the levels below -378mRL was a multi-functional shaft, where two hoisting system were installed for transporting man, material, waste rocks and ore, thus greatly impacting the production efficiency. As 1# ore pass is successfully connected with -678mRL, the mucking pressure on -678mRL shall be relieved, and overall capacity of ore passing & crushing system enhanced.
