On January 2, 2023, Children dressed up at Lonshi Village School in Cambowe town of Lubumbashi in DRC, lined up welcoming the arrival of representatives from Sabwe Mining SARL (JCHX subsidiary), together with the third batch of 80 sets of desks and chairs donated by Sabwe.

So far Sabwe has donated a total of 300 sets of brand-new desks and chairs to the school from last October through January to provide a more comfortable study environment for local students.

During the past two years Sabwe has performed its social responsibilities from various perspectives, established a harmonious relationship with local communities and contributed proactively to local economic and social development. It has executed a “Wells Plan” to provide convenient access to clean water for local resident, with two wells already built in Lonshi Village last November, and more wells to be built in next 3 years for other villages including Laule Village and Mwelushi Village. On November 17, the football gates donated by Sabwe were delivered, the local "football fans" were thrilled to see their dream of playing a football game finally coming true.

In order to help the local fight against the pandemic, Sabwe spontaneously participated in and supported the local government's anti-pandemic actions by donating masks, disinfectants, protective clothing, and other materials to local hospitals, and making public donations to local communities.

While highly focusing on the localization of management, Sabwe also pays great attention to boosting local economy and stability by recruiting and training the young people in local communities, which enables them to earn a living without leaving their hometown.

In addition, the development of another asset invested by JCHX – Dikulushi Copper & Silver Mine, located 700km away from Lonshi, is also in full swing. Everbright Mining SARL (JCHX subsidiary) has maintained a good cooperation relationship with local communities including Kyona Chiefdom and Moero District since arrival on site, and has done its best to support the development of local communities, including funding the renovation of Lufira Bridge on No. 5 National Highway, funding local communities in fight against cholera, donating COVID-19 vaccines to Kilba hospital, and proactively supporting local communities in pandemic prevention works. In the future, Everbright will make continuous efforts to improve local medical, educational, and living facilities.
