On December 31st, Sabwe held an award ceremony to honor 2024 outstanding local employees. A total of 42 employees respectively from the Control Room, Quality Department, Smelting Plant, Operations and Finance Department, Equipment and Supply Department, Production & Technology Department, and Administration Office received the awards.
Works completed in the past year were reviewed during the ceremony. In 2024, Sabwe not only demonstrated its inherent strength in mining construction, but also improved its processing and metallurgical technology and production operation management. As a result, the production capacity of underground mining was steadily increased. Sabwe also further improved its mining efficiency and construction quality by strengthening production prospecting, cover drilling, water prevention and control, and continuously optimizing the mining method and production plan. These achievements could not have been achieved without the professionalism, wisdom, dedication and solidarity of Chinese and local employees.
Mr. Zeng Haipeng expressed his heartfelt thanks to the Congolese employees for their dedication to accomplish the work target in 2024, and for imprinting the footprints of struggle together with the Chinese employees in Lonshi project. At the same time, he also hoped that in the new year, with firm confidence, the Chinese and Congolese employees will launch a new campaign together and join hands to create a better tomorrow for Lonshi project.
Nzanzu Munimba Jephte, the HR assistant from Admin Office and a representative of outstanding employees, delivered a speech, sharing his insights and practical experience while giving work advice for the coming year.
