JCHX Expands African Market with New Contract at Zambia’s Mufulira Mine

JCHX Mining Construction Zambia Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of JCHX Mining, has recently signed a contract with Mopani Copper Mine Plc for the capital development and infrastructure support works at Mufulira Mine in Zambia, further expanding its footprint in the African market and marking a significant milestone in JCHX’s strategy to accelerate the international development in 2025.

Mufulira, located in north-central Zambia, serves as a critical hub for copper mining and smelting. Mufulira Mine, situated in the northern section of Zambia’s Copperbelt, in the proximity of the border of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), was discovered in 1923 and commenced mining operations in 1933. As an ultra-large underground mine, it currently holds the distinction of being the deepest underground mine being mined in Zambia. 

The scope of work includes the development of 500mL-430mL decline, 1507mL-1530mL decline, 1530mL-1630mL conveyor decline, 1630mL main crusher access, 1630mL crusher chamber, 1507mL workshop, and 1557mL pump station.
