Project Profile

Work Description: Shaft Sinking, Decline & Drift Development and Mining Production at Huanggang Iron & Tin Mine in Inner Mongolia

Owner: Inner Mongolia Huanggang Mining Company

Commenced in: Aug 2005

Huanggang Iron Mine is located in Hexigtenqi, Chifeng, Inner Mongolia. As of 2019, JCHX has been working at Huanggang project for nearly 15 years where it successively completed sinking of multi-function shaft, development of decline, construction of mechanical and electrical facilities, while several national construction records being created.

Currently JCHX is tasked with contract mining at Block I with designed capacity of 900ktpa. JCHX has proved itself over previous years by repeatedly meeting the annual target set by the Owner, and the works are executed with trackless fleet including LHDs and trucks. In 2018, JCHX completed the rehabilitation works of ore pass in Block I and skip replacement for multi-function shaft, which were highly recognized by the Owner.

The project has a designed capacity of 1.5 mtpa by employing mainly short-hole shrinkage and sublevel open stoping methods. Over the years, the project has delivered each and every construction work to success, ranging from sinking of multi-function shaft, development of decline, and installation of mechanical and electrical equipment. Decline development even broke the advance footage record in China. At present, JCHX is responsible for mining operation and management at Area I, with the annual production reaching 0.9 mt.
