In the afternoon of November 26th Central South University held JCHX Scholarship Awarding Ceremony for 2014 at No. 302 Lecture Hall of Resources & Safety Engineering Department. (RSED) Mr. Li Shunqiu, CCP Secretary of RSED, Mr. Zhou Keping, Dean of RSED, all teachers and representatives of the scholarship winners attended the ceremony. Mr. Sun Sheng, Deputy Secretary of CCP presided over the event and Mr. Zhang Binze, Vice Manager of HR Center of JCHX attended.
The ceremony was commenced with the grand music of national anthem of China, Mr. Sun firstly gave a welcome speech and then announced the winner list. Yan Mikang from Class 1201, on behalf of all the winners, gave a speech and he extended sincere gratitude to JCHX, leaders and teachers of his college and he expressed his heartfelt determination of studying even harder to contribute to the society and our country.
Mr. Zhang Binze reviewed the good relationship and remarkable achievements during the previous ten years of partnership with Central South University. JCHX has aided more than one thousand students since the establishment of JCHX Scholarship there in 2003, he sincerely hopes that in the future both sides could further strengthen communications and cooperation so we could make bigger contribution to the society.
In the end, Mr. Zhou Keping expressed his appreciation to JCHX, he pointed out that all the students should study harder, improve themselves and meanwhile the university will create a better learning and living environment for the students. Mr. Zhou also suggested the winners to invest the rewards in how to enrich their spiritual life and enhance self-restraint, he also encouraged them to pass on the benevolence and help more people.
Since the establishment in 2003, JCHX provided RMB 120,000 each year as Scholarship to Central South University to encourage and assist those outstanding yet underprivileged students to finish their studies, totally 1080 students from Central South University benefited from this scholarship.
