On 16 May 2018, the first products from Kingnor Mining Equipment Co Ltd – two units of Multimec (Multi-Purpose Vehicles) were released and ready for shipment. The Multimec system consists of a series of cassettes, each for a different purpose, that fit on the common carrier. It currently is the only type of MPV for underground mining operations and represents the most up-do-date technology. Hence JCHX enters a new era in terms of equipment manufacturing business.
Further expanding business towards whole industry chain is one of the most important subjects in JCHX’s Four 5-Year Strategy, while equipment manufacturing is one of the five major scopes. Through in-depth discussion and based on mutual understanding, JCHX and Normet Oy established a joint venture – Kingnor Mining Equipment Co Ltd on 28 Sept 2017; and the production was commenced on 6 March 2018.
Kingnor aims to manufacture the most advanced, robust, efficient and secure MPV for mining industry. Multimec system is designed for using one common carrier to facilitate different cassettes, such as people cassette, fuel cassette, explosive cassette, crane cassette, concrete cassette, lube cassette, maintenance cassette, scissor lift cassette, material cassette etc. In addition, as part of Normet global supply chain, Kingnor will also contribute to Normet Oy by provision of spare parts and components.
To expedite the progress of localization for manufacturing such global leading product, JCHX mobilized competent and experienced personnel, assigned a technical team to attend training courses conducted by Normet Oy in Finland. Leaders from all levels attached significant importance to the development of Kingnor, and with dedicated support from Daye Municipal Committee as well as Daye City Government, Kingnor successfully completed the facility establishment, commission of workshop and releasing of first products within 13 months.
The releasing of first products is owing to the concerted efforts from both Normet and JCHX, it represents a milestone and fresh start for their cooperation. Looking into the future, Kingnor will continue to emphasize quality, produce more and better equipment for the clients and for the mining market.
