
From May 16 to 22, 2018, Equipment Manager Bhaskar Ashok and Mining Engineer Ashutosh Swain from Hindustan Zinc Limited, the subsidiary of world-renowned Vedanta Resources PLC, visited Pulang Copper Mine and Kailin Phosphorous Mine as well as JCHX paste backfilling lab. Later, in-depth communication on recent development and potential cooperation were conducted among visitors and President Li Zhanmin, other management and technical personnel from JCHX.

Hindustan Zinc is a Vedanta Group company in zinc, lead and silver business, one of the world's largest integrated producers of zinc, among leading global lead and silver producers.
For the past few years, JCHX has been keeping in touch with Vedanta in the process of its global business expansion, and a strong wish for cooperation between Hindustan Zinc and JCHX has been held since then. It was a great honor and good opportunity for JCHX to demonstrate its capability.
In the morning of May 17, visitors entered Pulang Copper Mine from 3720 trackless drift and then to the shaft, inspected maintenance chamber, operation of Simba 1354 and DU211 jumbo, as well as the magnificent drill breaker developed by JCHX together with Kaishan Group. They highly recognized JCHX for its large scale mechanized operation, high quality, civilized and standardized site management, and orderly organized work system. It is rather remarkable that an underground lounge is established for underground personnel to have some rest and meals, which reflecting the true care for employees, said the visitors.
On May 19, visitors accessed from 860mL main decline and inspected some work faces in Maluping block. They believe the rock condition there was quite good, and very similar to one of their operations – Zawar mines. Afterwards they visited the backfilling plant, and highly praised the work for its long-distance facility, which means paste preparation, storage, pumping and filling were completed at a 20km distance, and this marvelous work would reveal a good model for Zawar mines.
On May 21, visitors visited the advanced paste backfilling lab co-established by JCHX and USTB. Both parties had thorough discussion about technical issues of EPC backfilling for Zawar mines, and all questions relevant to paste backfilling had been answered. Having witnessed JCHX’s expertise and capability of EPC contracting for backfilling plant, Indian clients expressed their strong interest and great confidence in advancing our cooperation.
