In the morning of August 15, 2018, Ms Cui Jinyan, Project Manager of Metorex – a wholly owned subsidiary of Jinchuan Group along with other delegates paid a visit to Kamoa Project in DRC.
As a famous mining company, Metorex owns two operating mines, Chibuluma in Zambia, and Ruashi in DRC. Jinchuan Group acquired SA Metorex in Jan 2012, which was listed in JSE and LSE. Jinchuan Group transferred 100% equity in Metorex to Jinchuan International on August 2013.
Mr Zhang Jianzhong, GM of Jimond introduced Kamoa Project briefly to the visitors, in which he highlighted some successful cases in integrating management methods between Client and Jimond. In July, single month advancement of 356.8m for super large decline created by Jimond broke the record in Africa, which impressed the visitors.
As described by Ms Cui Jinyan, JCHX set a great example for Metorex by its effective and modern management style, which would be of help for Metorex to improve its integrated competitiveness within DRC markets in the future and to realize win-win cooperation between both sides.
