As overseas market continuously to be expanded, JCHX inputs greater efforts in enhancing English skills of Chinese personnel at overseas operations. Recently a native English speaker is recruited for training staff at both Lubambe and KCM projects in Zambia.
Although several English teachers were recruited in such efforts previously, and despite of the passion held by Chinese employees in English learning, teaching process was not at all efficient. As a matter of fact, the teaching method adopted before was not appropriate, at least not appropriate for the adults who know nothing about English.
In consideration of previous failures and background of trainees, JCHX employs Miss Theresa Chilando (Chinese name Wang Bing), who once lived in China for 6 years and acquired her Bachelor’s Degree from China University of Petroleum in civil engineering, before she acquired Master’s Degree from Tsinghua University in International Engineering and Project Management. Therefore she is an excellent Chinese speaker while being a native English speaker.
Miss Theresa Chilando is scheduled to deliver lessons every Wednesday and Friday evening. During the lessons, she would raise questions to all students, and give explanations in Chinese when necessary. Her vivid expression impressed the trainees, whose listening and speaking skills were gradually improved.
