Successful Transfixions Achieved at Xitieshan Project

Successful transfixions were achieved respectively on 28 June (two days ahead of schedule) between 3100mL adit and downcast shaft on 3168mL, and on 30 June between access drift and station on 2222mL in auxiliary shaft of main ore body. These two accurate transfixions speak volume for JCHX’s high technological and managerial capabilities and win JCHX recognition and applause from the Owner.

Both of these two transfixions are critical capital works at Xitieshan Lead-Zinc Mine. Moreover, the timely transfixion at 3100mL has a direct impact on the capability of reaching 150kt output target in 2020. The access drift on 3100mL is 1093m long and the access drift on 2222mL of main body is 2172m long. Multiple risks were encountered such as broken ground, curves in drifts, frequent changes in drift directions and slope, harsh surveying conditions, technical challenges and potential rock falls etc.

Under the guidance and support of headquarters and branch company, Xitieshan Project overcame the above-mentioned difficulties and realized accurate transfixion without any slab staggering.

The two successful transfixions are the credit of the Owner and Contractor, JCHX headquarters and branch company, as well as all employees at Xitieshan Project, which will pave the way for safe production and the realization of output goals in the coming days.
