At the end of October, monthly development by M2C have exceeded 500m for two consecutive months and reached 557m in Oct, renewing the record from Nov 2018 of 527m.
In 2019, as stope development continued, hauling distance increased and ventilation became more difficult. Work area was shifted from primary stope to secondary stope, where shortcomings of overhand cut and fill method were revealed in face of thick orebody, such as slow working cycle and unbalanced stoping and filling, moreover it was quite difficult to operate large LHD at paste filling workface.
With great support and assistance from overseas division, site management, technical personnel, specific problems were carefully analyzed by section crew and countermeasures were formulated. To expedite working cycle, stope design and working procedures were optimized after which daily output per stope was increased by 30%, which tremendously facilitated multi-end development by M2C while enhanced work safety.
The renewed record by M2C represents another milestone for Chambishi Project and again proved the amazing capability of JCHX.
