In Feb 2020, Kamoya Project achieved monthly production target despite of several challenges like Spring Festival vacation and coronavirus. It has been quite another success since last month.

I. Production target completed

1.Although in face of reduced work ends, 300m/6531m3 excavation was completed in Feb through well organization and expediting shift time, specifically decline for LDV was advanced by 145m/3167m3, decline for HDV by 155m/3365m3, equivalent to 141% of target for capital development.

2.Feb is the monsoon season in central Africa, when large amount of precipitation can be expected. The team on site overcame the impact on construction of surface batching plant and completed 565m3 of shotcreting support. Paralleled decline development and primary support work was ensured with high efficiency, shotcreting to the first 300 meters of LDV decline was completed, with shotcreting target completed by 160%.

3.Output value for Kamoya Project achieved 131% in Feb .

4.Zero breakdown of major equipment achieved. Maintenance team strengthened daily inspection and maintenance during standby time, and carried out comprehensive inspection subject to weekly and monthly maintenance schedule, laying a solid foundation for completing production target.

II. Progress of site standardization

During Spring Festival, Mr. Guo Dadi, Deputy GM of overseas division paid a visit to Kamoya Project and extended his warm blessings. He not only recognized certain achievements that were made for site standardization, but raised further requirements for relevant works. Kamoya team endeavored to promote site standardization while fulfilling the target of production as required, and established a breeding ground for pilot projects of standardization in overseas market.

III. Quality control promoted

1.Kamoya decline should be established as a model project as company required. The technical team on-site took effective measures, strengthened quality control, constantly optimized blasting technique, and applied rational supporting method in positive coordination with the Employer based on ground conditions, which ensured satisfactory shaping of decline and won high recognition from the Employer.

2.Surveyor on-site measured the profile during each shift, drew the contour lines for excavation and control the overbreak/underbreak subject to ground features, the overbreak of LDV and HDV declines were within 10%, with advancement per blast of 3.4m, exceeding average level, which guaranteed completion of monthly target.

More challenges lying ahead of Kamoya Project despite of its achievements in Jan and Feb. The team shall proceed without any fear and witness more success in the future.
