As International Labor's Day approaches, good news came from Jimond that secondary development in April achieved 1,337.7m, higher than the monthly target set either by the Client at 1,120m or by Overseas Division at 1130m, creating a record high since the establishment of Jimond and overfulfilling the production target of April.

Under the leadership of Project Manager Chen Tiehe, Jimond has kept enhancing safety control under the principle of identifying risks and challenges, ensuring availability of materials, stressing work quality, and improving efficiency since March. They endeavored to install pipes and cables in time, maintain the roadway in neat and clean condition, control ground support quality, and minimize overcut or undercut. Meanwhile all departments, sections and operators enhanced communications and positively took necessary measures to solve problems in a timely fashion so as to keep up with work progress.

There was a saying that Food and fodder should go ahead of troops and horses. After realizing the threat of COVID-19 outbreak, Jimond procured and delivered living supplies and disease prevention materials for 5 months consumptions in advance, in the meantime Jimond communicated with Client seeking for possible assistance in production and living materials.

In order to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and maintain normal operations, Jimond released a policy of lockdown management toward all DRC employees as required. Fearless of this sudden disaster, members on site put all their efforts to make a tremendous breakthrough in terms of monthly development and set a new benchmark.
