In recent days，good news came from Shaanxi that raise boring project for a Pumped Storage Power Station (PSPP) was successfully completed by JCHX.
The scope of work for this project mainly comprises of two water diversion inclined raises, with reaming hole diameter of 2.4m, total length of over 600m, #1 raise and #2 raise respectively is 330m, at an angle of 55°, and under comparatively competent ground condition.
JCHX raise boring team was mobilized on 11 Nov 2019, tasked to drill pilot hole with directional drilling rig FDP-68 and reaming hole with TR-3000 raise boring machine. It took only about half year to complete both raises, and deflection rate of pilot hole was kept within tolerance.
This PSPP is a significant national project. Work tasked to JCHX – two water diversion raises are priority works for the client, as they form part of the water induction system for PSPP. During the construction, leaders from State Grid Xinyuan Group Co., Ltd. and its local branch paid several visits to the site, and spoke highly of our successful and timely completion of the works.
