On November 18, the Design Contract of MUKULU Manganese Mine was signed between South Africa AMG Group and JCHX Design Institute Co., Ltd. in Beijing. As another large design project in South Africa following Orkney Gold Mine, the contract marks the further development of JCHX’s overseas market.

Located at the Kalahari Manganese Field in Northern Cape of South Africa, MUKULU Manganese Mine currently owns 332 boreholes ranking 117.42km in total. The mine consists of both shallow deposit and deep deposit. Regarding the shallow deposit, its dip angle almost keeps level, thickness ranks from 3 to 8 meters, and levels from 70 to 190 meters. As for the deep deposit, its dip angle keeps 5~8°, thickness ranks among 4-5 meters and levels from 390 to 770 meters. As a super large mine, it has around 200 mt of reserves with an average grade of 39.5%.

Support from JCHX seniors favored the successful signing. Management levels both from JCHX and Design Institute established a team of experienced experts, who would unfold field exploration in SA soon.

Based on JCHX’s core values of “Customer-Oriented Approach, Harmonious Development” and the principles of “integrity, innovation, servicing, and high-quality”, the Project will give full play to JCHX’s technological strength in long distance ramps and belt conveyor shaft development, ultra-deep shaft sinking & lining, and efficiently mining over the last two decades, and provide high-quality designs and technological services to the Owner, so as to facilitate the mine development progress.
