Mr. Wang Xiancheng and Mr. Peng Huaisheng Visited Projects in DRC

On May 19, Mr. Wang Xiancheng, Chairman of JCHX Group, and Mr. Peng Huaisheng, President of JCHX Group paid a site visit to DRC amidst the aggravated covid-19 pandemic, to not only extend greetings to the employees standing fast to their post, but also give  instructions for the development of overseas market and for further implementation of the “two-market” strategy.

Upon arrival at Lubumbashi, Mr. Wang and Mr. Peng immediately held a Shareholder’s Meeting without taking any break, for Jinxin Mining S.A.R.L with Wu Shaoxin, Chairman of Huaxin (partner of Jinxin). During which a unanimous agreement was reached after a thorough discussion between two parties over the 2021 work plan and annual budget of Jinxin, laying a solid foundation for future development of a Tantalum-Niobium Mine in Kinshasa.

Early in the morning of May 20, Mr. Wang and Mr. Peng held a meeting over Lonshi Copper Mine, where they listened to the report on the early-stage preparation, gave instructions for works of the next stage. Then they met with the DRC shareholder of Jimond Mining Management Company SARL and extended sincere gratitude for his support to Jimond. In the afternoon, another meeting was held among Mr. Wang, Mr. Peng, Mr. Benedikt Sobtka, President of ERG, and other senior management of ERG. They joyfully recalled the negotiation process over Lonshi Project and both expressed heartfelt happiness for the efficient completion of the transaction. Besides, an in-depth discussion was conducted to explore deeper cooperation between JCHX and ERG.

On May 21, Mr. Wang and Mr. Peng made it to Kamoa Project after a 400km drive by car. On their way to the project, Mr. Wang mentioned that it is critical that he, as the leader of JCHX should personally deliver heartfelt gratitude and support to those front-line employees regardless of his own safety, particularly under the circumstance of widely spreading pandemic overseas,.

On site, Mr. Wang and Mr. Peng inspected the works of each crew, went to underground development faces and talked to the RSA captain, jumbo operators and other workers on duty to understand work details. Besides, Mr. Wang gave recommendations to improve technologies for mining with large sections. He also emphasized that safety is the top priority during the application of new technology, because future is jeopardized without safety being prioritized, especially for a globalized mining company.

Later, a meeting was convened with Mr. Mark Farren, CEO of Kamoa Copper SARL. Mr. Wang reviewed the efforts made by JCHX to Kamoa Project since 2017, and extended sincere gratitude for the support provided by the Employer. Mark fully recognized the works JCHX has done, and expressed his expectation for a long-term and in-depth cooperation with JCHX over Kamoa Project.

On May 23, as invited by Mark, Mr. Wang and Mr. Peng attended the Commission Ceremony of Phase Ⅰ Processing Plant at Kamoa Copper Mine.

In the afternoon of May 23, Mr. Wang and Mr. Peng attentively listened to the work report for Kamoa Project, answered questions and gave recommendations. Besides, Mr. Wang again presented the 5th Five-Year Strategy to the project team and the management on site. He encouraged the young to embrace responsibility with passion and to fully explore their potentials through working at Kamoa. Then he spoke in all earnestness that JCHX desires the young who share the same belief, aspiration and ambition with the company, and he wishes to see more talents to become Project Managers.

The visit of Mr. Wang and Mr. Peng significantly encouraged overseas workers, who committed that they will live up to the expectations of Mr. Wang and Mr. Peng by strengthening work safety & quality, reducing cost and fulfilling annual target, so as to contribute to the implementation of JCHX’s 5th Five-Year Plan.
