Through concerted efforts, all preparation works for drainage are completed at Lonshi Copper Mine, with drainage process commenced since 17:50 of 16 November, and all 6 pumps were running at full load until 10:30 of 21 November. Currently the drainage system is in good operation, which marks an important step for Lonshi Project.
Lonshi is a key project under the “Fifth 5-year Strategy”, which drew a lot of attention from the leadership with all-round support in terms of manpower mobilization, equipment procurement, and project design. All personnel both home and abroad endeavored to catch up with the schedule and complete preliminary rectification, recovery, planning and site construction, especially to expedite water drainage of open pit.
The expedited full-load water drainage at Lonshi Copper Mine is attributed to well-designed proposal by JCHX Design Institute, timely approval from local government, on-schedule mobilization of drainage facilities and equipment, close cooperation from suppliers, and scientific organization and efforts of Sabwe team.
Sabwe team shall forge ahead in unity and overcome difficulties, to complete all targets with enthusiasm, progress with mine construction, so as to achieve bigger success in the coming new year.
