– Land leveling, installation of water & power supply facilities, and construction of access road were done in parallel to the establishment of temporary facilities on the bank;

– Reduce construction noise by placing sand & gravel at hole bottom and water at shaft bottom, install shaft cover, build noise barrier and install rubber layer at tipping chute;

– Facilitate urgent spare parts needs based on its own turn milling facilities;

– Handle UG water inrush through adopting water catcher to shaft pump station and install additional pumps on stage;

Under the unremitting efforts of all workers, after over 200 days of hard work, the air intake shaft is successfully completed with additional works of 16.1m pump station and 3m pipes done, making a total work quantity of 872.1.
