
On June 1, JCHX Lubambe project launched the campaign for enhancing safety production, as a response to the call of the headquarters to raise safety awareness and sense of responsibilities, strengthen safety induction and training, improve risk and hidden hazard identification. The event was hosted by Safety Manager with the presence of project management personnel and representatives from the Employer.
During when, Safety Manager first summarized the safety performance in May before emphasizing the necessity of technological compliance, safety inspection, safe vehicle operation and safe power utilization.
Then a safety quiz was held to further enhance the safety awareness and deepen understanding of safety production.
Project Manager then addressed to the team what safety production is, why it is important and how to achieve it. He encouraged all members to enhance safety awareness and pursue safety production. Following which all members signed on the banner as a way to expressing their commitment to safety.
This campaign provided an opportunity for not only reviewing safety works over the first half of 2022, but also for motivating further enhancement in the second half.
Same campaign was held at Kinsey project, where supervisors for capital development and mining works shared their valuable insights in safety production in combination with personal experiences, and management team lectured the staff based on typical real cases. Later on, all workers vowed and signed to express their determination.
According to the plan, emergency rescue drills and knowledge & skills training programs shall be organized to further strengthen safety awareness and create a safety-oriented working environment.
In the meantime, a special meeting was convened by Southeast Orebody Project at Chambishi, to clarify the responsibilities, identify key works for the next stage, promote the implementation of all activities, and demonstrate a safety education film.
Post which a bunch of activities were conducted, including oath-taking ceremony, hidden risks identification, experience exchanges and emergency drill, with all members on-site participated.
In addition, a safety quiz was held at Chambishi project on 22 June 2022, with the participation of 8 teams. After 5 rounds of nerve-racking competition, the team from equipment & supply department won the first place, while the 400mL old panel team and technical department team respectively taking the second and the third.
