On June 27, Everbright Mining SARL ( "Everbright" in short) signed the Letter for Social Responsibility jointly with Kyona Territory and Moero Local Development Committee, undertaking to perform its duties and make more contributions to improve the well-being and education level of local community, Everbright specifically committed to sponsoring the implementation of various projects covering education, health, infrastructure, agriculture and sport, with the presence of Mr. Wang Qingming (GM of Everbright), Derby (Chief Executive in project area), Chief of Kyona Territory, executive of Moero region, and representatives from local safety committee and local development committee.
A sound and close relationship has been maintained between Everbright and local community after its acquisition of Dikulushi Copper & Silver Mine, and Everbright has extended tremendous support to local development, such as funding the repairing of Lufira bridge of No.5 National Highway and funding the combat against cholera and Covid-19 pandemic. In future, Everbright will continue to contribute to the improvement of local medical, educational and living conditions.
On the ceremony, Derby highly praised Everbright for proactively shouldering its social responsibilities and performing its duties, appreciated its strong supports. Mr. Wang also delivered heartfelt gratitude to the local government, the Chief of Kyona Territory and the local community for their supports, and expressed expectations on strengthening communications with relevant organizations and creating a win-win cooperation with local community.
