The Cooperation Agreement for Mining at Deep Orebody of Kamoya Copper & Cobalt Mine in DRC (ten-year framework cooperation agreement) and the Mining Contract (Phase I) for Deep Orebody at Kamoya Copper & Cobalt Mine in DRC (the first construction contract entered under the frame agreement, with two-year project duration) were recently signed between Beam Mining and Construction SARL (JCHX subsidiary) and La Compagnie Miniere de Kambove Sas (hereinafter referred to as COMIKA), mainly covering the work scope of UG mining, mining preparatory works and relevant support works.
COMIKA is invested and operated jointly by Générale des Carrières et des Mines － GECAMINES — GCM and North Mining Shares Company Limited, Kamoya Copper & Cobalt Mine lies in Likasi, Katanga, DRC, with an area of about 9.35 k㎡. JCHX was awarded the decline development work at Kamoya in 2019, marking another big move for JCHX in DRC market following its service at Kamoa.
This cooperation agreement not only represents further expansion in overseas market for JCHX but also highlights its comprehensive strength in mining sector, while providing a strong impetus for JCHX to realize its Fifth Five-Year Development Strategy.
