Mr. Qinghai Wang, Chairman of JCHX Mining, visited JCHX overseas projects in recent weeks to extend greetings to employees standing fast to their posts and give instructions on site construction and the implementation of Mining Management 4.0.
At Chambishi
Mr. Wang headed to Chambishi project upon his arrival to Zambia on February 11, and held a thorough discussion with the project management centering around details including resources & reserves data, stope arrangement, work organization and team building of industrial workers.
Mr. Wang inspected 400mL maintenance chamber first to inquire equipment conditions before expressing his recognition to the project for their efforts. After which Mr. Wang went to stopes respectively at 573mL, 582mL and 600mL M4 to inspect mining method implementation and stope conditions, where he listened to the report on IT application and standardized construction before encouraged the team to cope with challenges based on innovation and creativity while integrating the strategy of Mining Management 4.0. Then Mr. Wang discussed with the project for the possibility of applying self-developed trackless equipment in JCHX overseas projects.
At Southeast Orebody
Early in the morning of February 13, Mr. Wang visited Southeast Orebody project. He stressed the importance and urgency of IT application in monitoring production after listening to the project report, and talked with all engineers over the acceptance of current stopes and workfaces, especially of ultra-high and ultra-large stopes, before experiencing new software application and giving advice on acceptance works.
Mr. Wang inspected the mining progress in ultra-large stopes at 7# stope of 7# panel, and required closer attention to roof and sidewall support to ensure work safety. Then he visited underhand LH stope (pre-cut roof) at 980mL-9MU-1 to obtain detailed information on mining method, techniques applied and techno-economic indicators, before visiting 1080mL tramming haulage level for inspecting installation works and giving instructions on strengthening work quality and safety.
At Lubambe
Mr. Wang arrived at Lubambe project on February 15. He listened to the project report, highly recognized the project’s performance, and requested unremitting efforts in the enhancement of construction safety, project management as well as employee’s working enthusiasm.
After Mr. Fengkun Liu, GM of JCHX Overseas Division, made requests to the project on work safe, cultural integration and management localization, Mr. Wang further explained the concept of Mining Management 4.0 in detail, requiring concrete implementation of standardization based on site conditions, further improvement in project administration with more innovative and creative measures, strengthened training for local employees, stronger team building of qualified managers and industrial workers, so as to explore sustainable development with high quality.
At KCM
Mr. Wang then paid a visit to KCM project on February 17, during when he listened to the report on the implementation of annual work plan and updates on construction & operation conditions, before giving instructions on the improvement of standardized management at the project.
Later in the afternoon, Mr. Wang explained in detail the essence and implementation method of Mining Management 4.0 and shone a light on the improvement of standardization works regarding safety & production, equipment & materials, technique & work quality as well as administration & logistics.
At Dikulushi
Mr. Wang turned to Dikulushi project on February 20 to send his greetings to the project staff and inspect UG development and work faces, surface exploration, tailings dam, backfilling plant, and processing plant to better understand project conditions in respect of copper-silver reserves, safety & production, equipment management, standardization, team building of industrial workers, and local staff management.
Mr. Wang held a discussion the next day with the management and technical personnel of Everbright (JCHX subsidiary) to illustrate the application and significance of integrating Mining Management 4.0 with SOP. He emphasized that Everbright should spare no efforts to explore effective project management and develop talents training strategy to establish an efficient project team with stability to facilitate JCHX’s expansion in overseas market. Mr. Wang also pointed out that higher attention should be paid to improve IT application to boost effective online tracking and management of project works.
At Lonshi
In the morning of March 2, Mr. Qinghai Wang visited underground working faces at Lonshi project to inspect safety management and implementation of technical measures in respect of development and mining works, ventilation, drainage, lighting, blasting, ground pressure monitoring, workers’ positioning, and trackless transportation, then he restated that all works should be done under standardized management and detailed control.
After which Mr. Wang asked about geological exploration progress, drilling & sampling results for Lonshi project. He also visited the industrial site for concentrator and smelter, where 2 mills had already been finely tuned within the grinding workshop where workers were busy with dismantling the support frame while preparing for liner installation. Besides, all test equipment and facilities were under commissioning, the construction of copper plant and acid plant was in full swing. All construction and production works were strictly monitored in the control room via video monitors. Mr. Wang highly praised all steady progresses the team attained before stressed the importance of following standards and rules in carrying out construction for the sake of quality control, promoting the applications of smart equipment as well as IT technologies to pragmatically improve safety management and work efficiency, and sticking to key timelines to expedite project implementation.
Mr. Wang then attended Sabwe (JCHX subsidiary) work meeting and listened attentively to GM report on project construction, safety and environmental protection and localization training. Mr. Wang explained in detail the guiding philosophy, work methods, implementation path and evaluation mechanism of Mining Management 4.0.
During his visit to overseas projects, Mr. Wang also extended his sincere gratitude to all the staff sticking to their post, particularly under the circumstance of widely spread pandemic in the past three years.
