
From August 22 to 25, Huang Haigen, president of JCHX Mining, visited Wassa project for site inspection and attended an executive’s meeting organized by Golden Star (Wassa) Limited, accompanied by Jia Ji, executive deputy general manager of JCHX Safety and Production Management Center.
Mr. Huang conducted a comprehensive inspection of the underground work areas at Wassa project, having visited all working ends and operations in 242 and B-shoot areas to understand progress in terms of on-site safety measures, power management, equipment management, mining preparation and blasting parameters, acceptance standards for ground support, stope coordination, vehicle operating conditions, geological drilling progress by the Owner, etc., and talked with truck operators to gain insights into their working conditions. When meeting with the expatriate management team, while acknowledging the steady advancement of site operations, Mr. Huang asked the team to further enhance safety management, improve efficiency, strengthen cost control, and enhance communication to build Wassa into a benchmark project of excellence.
Besides, Mr. Huang attended executive’s meeting organized by the Owner, where he expressed gratitude for the trust placed in JCHX Mining, emphasized that Wassa is JCHX's first mining service project in West Africa, before reiterated JCHX's commitment to leveraging its over 20 years of experience in overseas mining development and international management to closely work with the owner to build Wassa into a flagship project in West Africa. Two sides also exchanged deeply on current challenges and key priorities for the upcoming phase of the project.
