
On December 20, JCHX released the announcement of the signing of a five-year contract between Jimond Mining Management Co., Ltd (“Jimond Mining”), JCHX’s subsidiary, and Kamoa Copper SA for the underground drift mining works at Kamoa-Kakula Copper Mine in the DRC, with a total contract value of about USD 993 million, calculated based on the estimated work quantity.In 2019, JCHX undertook the contract for the underground development works at Kamoa-Kakula, to which a supplementary agreement was signed with the Owner based on the subsequent production plan, with new work quantity added. Upon the contract expiry, to continue construction and mining works, the two sides signed this new contract for another five years, which covers the stoping near the bottom of the main decline and access across to the southern decline, stoping towards the east and west, and stoping of the southern decline, with the preparation of 15 equipment sets, five sets newly added.
