The results of the 11th Ghana Mining Industry Awards (GMIA) 2025 are recently announced, where Setters Investment Limited Company – JCHX’s subsidiary in Ghana is recognized as the 2nd runner up for "Best Performer in Contract Mining". It is the only Chinese-funded enterprise to receive this award this year, reflecting the high recognition from local authority for JCHX’s capability & performance in safety, quality, compliance, production, and technological innovation.
Organized by the Ghana Chamber of Mines, GMIA is an annual premier event in its mining sector with an aim to honor mining companies, institutions, and individuals operating in Ghana who have demonstrated excellence in areas such as production safety, occupational health, environmental protection, technology application, and community development. As an important category of the awards, the "Best Performer in Contract Mining" primarily recognizes outstanding mining service providers for their exceptional performance.
In July 2023, Setters Investment Limited Company entered into an agreement with Golden Star (Wassa) Limited – a subsidiary of Chifeng Gold for the underground mining at 242 and B Shoot South of the Wassa Gold Mine in Ghana. This project marks JCHX's first project in the West Africa region. Over the past two years, leveraging decades of expertise in underground mine construction and abundant experience in international project management, through close collaboration with the client’s team, the team on site has adhered to high professional standards and responsible mining practices, striving to develop the Wassa Project into a benchmark project in West Africa while making positive contributions to the prosperity of local communities and the sustainable development of the mining industry.
