
To promote corporate culture, set an exemplary standard, and continuously enhance the sense of honor and belonging among local employees, Sabwe Mining SARL (Sabwe) held the Awarding Ceremony for Outstanding Local Employees of 2025 on December 18.
Based on a comprehensive evaluation across multiple dimensions, including production and operations, safety management, and teamwork, ultimately 58 employees were awarded as "Outstanding Managers" or "Outstanding Employees." Among the honorees were mid- and junior-level managers, as well as frontline staff such as operators and maintenance workers. Senior management of Sabwe, including Executive Deputy General Manager Zeng Haipeng and Deputy General Managers Li Gen, Chang Yaochao, Yang Yongjun, Zhu Zhibin, and Chen Xusheng, joined nearly a hundred Chinese and local employees in celebrating this moment of honor.
Kibombwe Ngandwe Peter, a representative of the award-winning employees, shared his experience participating in one technical improvement project in Lonshi Copper Mine, particularly highlighting how he progressed from an ordinary operator to a Technical Lead through the systematic skills training and the mentorship pairing implemented in Sabwe.
On behalf of Sabwe, Zeng Haipeng expressed gratitude to all local employees for their hard work over the past year. He noted that local employees, as a vital force behind the efficient operation and sustained, stable development of the Lonshi Copper Mine, played a key role in meeting the annual production targets. Their professional skills and dedication were particularly evident in critical tasks such as the technical improvement of the processing plant and the process optimization at the smelter. In the future, Sabwe will continue to refine and expand its local employee development system and career promotion pathways, working hand in hand with employees to create value while pursuing shared growth and success.
