On December 17, a delegation from Glencore International AG (Glencore), led by Mr. Sacha Djafarian, Head of the Africa Copper Metals Trading, and Mr. Xing Jiao, Head of the China Copper and Cobalt Trading, visited JCHX Headquarters, was warmly received by Mr. Xiancheng Wang, Chairman of JCHX Group, and Mr. Qinghai Wang, Chairman of JCHX Mining. During the visit, the two sides held in-depth discussions on the latest global mining trends and potential cooperation opportunities in key mineral projects in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and overseas resources.
Founded in 1974 and headquartered in Switzerland, Glencore is a global diversified natural resource trading and production company engaged in the extraction, smelting, refining, processing, and trading of metals and minerals, energy products, and agricultural commodities. Glencore ranks 24th on the Fortune Global 500 list for 2025. The meeting marked another step forward in strengthening strategic communication and cooperation between Glencore and JCHX.
During the meeting, Mr. Sacha Djafarian introduced Glencore’s development plans for its core copper and cobalt projects in the DRC, including KCC and Mutanda. He acknowledged JCHX’s strong capabilities and efficient execution in international mine development and operations, as well as its consistent and proven performance in resource development. He also shared Glencore’s views on potential areas of cooperation with JCHX and expressed interest in exploring opportunities to leverage complementary strengths and promote mutually beneficial collaboration.
Mr. Xiancheng Wang welcomed the Glencore delegation and shared the latest progress in JCHX’s global development in recent years. Mr. Qinghai Wang emphasized that win-win cooperation, shared growth, and value sharing are fundamental to the long-term and sustainable development of the mining industry. He stated that JCHX is willing to establish long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships with leading global companies such as Glencore, with a view to achieving shared success.
