TR3000 Raise Bore Machine Come into Service At Dahongshan Project

Sept 15th 2015 is an extraordinary day for Dahongshan Project of JCHX, under the support of headquarters, shaft branch, and through concerted effort from employees for many days, TR3000 R18 raise bore machine comes into service at Dahongshan Project. This type of machine is currently one of the most advanced mining equipment, with good safety features, large work capacity, high accuracy and good quality, deflection within 0.3%, reaming diameter up to 3.1m, drilling depth up to 600m, which changed the history of low accuracy and low work efficiency in raise boring project in China. Since Aug 2015, all components of the machine have arrived at site, several managers such as Mr. Honghui Li, Yakun Wang, Yicheng Wang, have visited the site to give instructions and advice concerning transportation of the machine; under the tremendous support from shaft sinking branch, and through the hard work from relevant staff, the machine was finally put into position and commissioned successfully despite of high underground temperature and harsh environment. Depending on this machine, we completed 200m reaming construction of ore pass within the specified time period. On Sept 14, with the support from foreign engineers and technician from manufacturer the commission, calibration, inspection works are done, which laid the foundation for drilling operation on next day. Pilot hole was completed on Oct 4th and then the reaming cutter head was installed despite of the difficulties such as limited space in tunnels, high temperatures. On Nov 23rd the ore pass was completed. At present, the machine is moved to waste ore pass at Dahongshan Copper Mine, installed, calibrated, reinforced and waited to be used for reaming operation. The utilization of TR3000 raise bore machine is a significant step for JCHX to construct large mechanized mines. In the future, we shall accumulate more experiences, fight against all difficulties, ensure good maintenance of the equipment, improve our professional skills and techniques, try to take full advantages of the machine and better serve ore pass construction.
