Through 120 days of hard work, reinforcement works of main ore pass at Sanxin Project finally completed. Despite of tight schedule, high costs and risks, JCHX eventually delivered this super manganese steel work with scientific management and gathered forces.
The total height of the reinforcement section is 40m, altitude ranges from -936m-976m, total volume of concrete is 1400M3, consuming 127 tons of manganese steel and 40 tons of steel fiber. The work load is not only heavy but also complicated in method/techniques. The preparation work took 41 days to complete since commission on November 21, 2016.
The biggest challenge of this task is the reforming of shaft and temporary supports. The collapsed area is in rectangular shape, with east-west span of 4m and north-south span of 12m. The hanging scaffold is 8m away from the south and 4 from the north side. Meanwhile scaling,bolting and concrete spraying also faced a lot of challenges. Normally 3 operators and 1 on-site technician are arranged to work on the hanging scaffold. Strict organization of labor, rigorous on-site supervision, reasonable work processes were adopted to prevent any violation in engineering.
many highlights of innovation have emerged during this work: hanging scaffold is an important operational platform in shaft,but for this specific shaft, the shortage of limited horizontal space was obvious, which in particular hinders the scaling and bolting support. For this purpose, project has decided to install a 3m long mobile drawbridge after several rounds of brainstorm sessions, just like the ancient suspension bridges above the moat around a castle. The scaffold and drawbridge together formed a perfect combination and smoothly overcome the aforementioned challenge.
Thanks to the effort of all members in the project, the task was completed 7 days ahead of the schedule, which saved the costs, boosted the value and gained a greater gratification from the Client. Again, Sanxin Project has completed a major challenging task, also a milestone so to speak for JCHX. With high attention from the management team, full collaboration from the client and supported by whole crew, Sanxin Project finally completed the task fast and efficiently without compromising the precondition of safety.
It has properly demonstrated the value of the JCHX team and its strength in fighting tough campaigns, so as to lay a solid foundation for the sustainable development of the company.
