On 20th May 2017, a successful tunneling connection was achieved with zero-defect at -720m of Xiadian Gold Mine, which is the first underground breakthrough for the project.
The tunneling works at -720m was commenced in Jan 2017, with total length of 600m and a section of 14 m2. Despite of the limited length, the tunnel is crucial to the whole underground production system, which bearing a lot of expectation from the client and also poses tests to the equipment and technical capability of JCHX.
Deep Underground Development Works at -710m to -860m of Xiadian Gold Mine is the newly-awarded project for JCHX at the end of last year. JCHX acted quite soon to establish the site and complete the mobilization. The tunneling project at -720m is the first connection work for the mine, which drew great attention from the management, staff from all levels worked hard to ensure the smooth construction.
Despite of the tight underground haulage schedule, high temperature, technical staff achieved high-precision connection through careful planning, accurate measurement and installations etc. The surveying engineer improved the design again and again based on multiple surveys and different analysis results. The work is done efficiently within the schedule and without compromising safety.
