On June 6, 2017, the decline for 490-610m of 1-6# Ore body, constructed by Zhaotong Project of JCHX acheived successful breakthrough.
The development works commenced in April 2016 with a full length of 948.5m, and cumulative development amount of 1135m/10397m³ including ore pass access roads and sublevel drift development. With total constructin period of 14 months, this is one of the major tasks for Zhaotong Project. In order to ensure the safety, quality and timely completion of the works, concerted efforts were made by staff from all levels, with close cooperation between the management and technical personnel. A scientific, rigorous and meticulous way of construction was adopted during drilling, blasting, surveying, quality control and other processes to ensure the normal operation.
The success breakthrough of the decline between 610m and 490m brings several benefits including: 1, as the main underground safe exit, it will save workers stamina and time by avoiding climbing the inclined shaft and thus improve the work efficiency; 2, speeding up the formation of ore extraction tunnel and lay a solid foundation for mining; 3, effectively solve the ventilation problem at 490m and create a more favorable working environment for underground construction. The success of which also demonstrates the strength of JCHX, and further establishes good image for Zhaotong Project.
