Vice Chairman Qinghai Wang & Other Senior Management Visited Lubambe Project

On 22 March 2018, Mr. Qinghai Wang, Vice Chairman of JCHX, Mr. Dadi Guo, Deputy Party Secretary, Mr. Jun Zhang, Vice President paid a site visit to Lubambe Copper Mine in Zambia, had a technical & management exchanges with the team, boosted the morale.

Upon the arrival of senior management from Headquarters, Mr. Jun Zhang gave a brief introduction of the project and client, including the labor plan and equipment arrangement for 2018. He mentioned Lubambe Copper Mine is one of the priority projects for JCHX, in order to enhance the automated operation, newly procured fleet such as drilling jumbos, LHDs, TH430 LPDTs,MPVs, charging vehicles and scaling jumbos will be arriving in May. Overseas Division has proposed practicable measures to tackle with problems in staff training, skills certificate applications for Zambians, shortage of qualified Chinese operators etc. Later on, recruitment from local universities will be carried out, cooperation with Chambishi University in talent building and introducing junior management from South Africa will be implemented.

Vice Chairman Mr. Qinghai Wang listened to the work report by Lubambe team. After which he raised two requests that firstly all the staff should familiarize themselves with western management concept, follow the instructions by the client, enhance skills and abilities, while completing their own duties; secondly, greater importance should be attached to the management of local staff, we should strengthen the integration of different cultures, improve the training and selections of local employees, to form an efficient local management team and harmonious zambian crew.

Deputy Party Secretary Mr. Dadi Guo shared his experiences and made his requests to the management & technical team of Lubambe Copper Mine. He mentioned that Lubambe is the cradle for JCHX to train internationalized talents. Everyone who works in this project should feel proud and advantageous. Persistence pays, in face of a working environment where large trackless equipment are utilized, western management concept is adopted, english is the sole communication language, all the staff should practice and improve their language skills, to no only become a genuine internationalized talent himself/herself, and to contribute more to the corporate by sharing what they’ve learnt to other employees.
