Ore Production Breaks Record Again in May at Miyun project

Total ore production in Miyun project achieved 176,897 tons in May, which broke the record of 171,163 tons in April. Stope production particularly achieved 163,711 tons, with average ore grade more than 25%, which was well received by the client.

At the beginning of May, project manager urged all members to guard against conceit and impetuosity, be honest and down-to-earth to ensure sustainable and highly efficient production, and to guarantee the successful and timely completion of targets with superior quality. Apart from that, emergency measures were drawn up to ensure smooth production through responsibility fulfillment and full preparation.

Later in May, challenges such as malfunctions of LHD and blocking in ore drawing chute occurred, therefore a session was held particularly to figure out solutions. A reform in equipment maintenance policy was proposed that scheduled maintenance should be strengthened, breakdown maintenance (BM) should be avoided by conducting preventive maintenance (PM), even by predictive maintenance (PdM); meanwhile process control should be improved, so did the execution and inspection of maintenance standard, regulations and procedures, to ensure maintenance quality and to lay a solid foundation for the smooth completion of target.

As for the blocking issue in ore chute, before the design defect could be removed once and for all, blasting crew will be assigned to haulage level to deal with blocking issue in time, and to minimize the impact to production.

Under the collective efforts of all crew, monthly production target was successfully completed.
