
In the morning of 27 June 2018, the delegation from Lubambe Copper Mine paid a visit to Chambishi Copper Mine – one of JCHX Zambia operations, after completing inspections to JCHX several domestic operations incl Zhaotong Project, Pulang Project, Central South Branch, Kingnor etc. Around 8:30 AM the delegation arrived at Chambishi, where Mr. Zhang Jun, VP of JCHX & DGM of Overseas Division, along with Mr. Zhou Shipan, Liu Zhiqiang, and Yang Weichun warmly welcomed the guests.
Upon completing safety induction, the delegation visited winder house of north vent shaft in southeast orebody and inspected winch, power supply device, hydraulic station, main motor, control room, shaft and station on 920ML. Mr. Yang introduced the shaft installations, isolation facilities between kibble and cage, current mucking method for drift development and etc. Last but not least the delegation visited waste unloading facility on 948ML and horizontal pump house.
Then the delegation and JCHX team had a technical exchange in board room. Mr. Yang presented to the delegation the office building and new maintenance workshop, and introduced the capability of JCHX overseas division in terms of technique, equipment & material management, HR, safety & quality control, especially elaborated on the safety, quality control, labor complement, water prevention measures taken during the construction of north vent shaft; Mr. Zhang Jun further clarified the scale and functions of maintenance workshop, he strengthened that it represents the determination and ambition of JCHX in absorbing more advanced equipment and technology to increase efficiency and production.
The delegation was very impressed by the site visit and communication. They expect to welcome more technical experts from China and raised their sincere congratulations to JCHX for its diversified business expansion.
In respect to some technical questions such as geotechnical condition, water inflow control skills and competence of technical force, Mr. Yang vividly explained. The delegation enjoyed this journey and extended their sincere gratitude before departure.
