On Nov 8, CSEB held the third session of the sixth council meetings in Beijing, where leaders from Ministry of Public Security (MPS) and China Non-Ferrous Metals Industry Association (CNMIA) awarded the winners. The ‘Research and Application of High-Efficient Drifting with Mechanized Drilling and Blasting’ done by JCHX was awarded the second prize of Scientific and Technological Progress. As a major contributor in Scientific and Technological Progress for Chinese Blasting Industry, Vice Chairman Wang Qinghai was honored.
Approved by Ministry of Science and Technology and sponsored by CSEB, Scientific and Technological Progress Prize of China Society of Engineering Blasting (CSEB) is the top scientific and technological prize in blasting industry, which has to be reviewed per year and to be awarded every two years. It meant to reward those who made outstanding contributions to scientific research, achievement transfer, technique expansion for blasting industry, thus to promote its development.
This research was made for Kailin Phosphate Project, targeting at the implementation of mechanized drilling & blasting method, which played key role in enhancement of mining mechanization levels and improving mining & blasting technology. Based on its specific underground situation, project data, theoretical analysis and site experiment, special self-developed blasting layout, effective charging method, and separation of drilling and blasting process were designed and utilized, which successfully helped us to acheive monthly advancement of 420m in Maluping Mine, as well as to solve difficulties encountered in underground construction such as high temperature and humidity.
During the review, this project was highly recognized by the review panel, who by the way encouraged JCHX to promote the implementation of mechanized drilling and blasting throughout the industry.
