Recently, completion inspection to the hoisting shaft of Tongjin Project were carried out by the Client and supervision company, where work quality was deemed satisfactory and temporary acceptance of the works was approved upon review and discussion.
Commenced on 28 July 2017, the hoisting shaft is designed with a depth of 408m and 5.0m net diameter. Due to complex geological condition such as broken ground and large water inflow, sinking process was rather challenging and frequent grouting with ultra-fine cement was required.
Fearless of whatever obstacles, project team on-site together with technical professionals managed to complete phase I construction of the shaft on 22 Oct 2019, and passed acceptance successfully, which was highly appreciated by the client.
