Against the spreading of COVID-19, Dairi Project successfully passed the safety inspection by local authority with high recognition acquired on 26 Feb, for which Indonesian management personnel played a very important role in site supervision and discipline when Chinese management personnel were almost absent due to quarantine.
Since Spring Festival, Dairi Project has been preparing for receiving the inspection from ESDM, while taking all preventive measures against coronavirus. As the authority to govern energy and mineral resources, ESDM is responsible for formulating polices and regulations in terms of the development and safety management over energy and mineral resources in Indonesia, and entitled to shut down disqualified mining companies.
26 Feb 2020, five inspectors from ESDM paid a visit to Dairi Project for safety inspection under the company of representatives from safety department of DPM.
In the morning Mr. OKKY, PJO of Dairi Project give a brief introduction on project background, safety management and progress of capital development. Accordingly, the inspection team examined mining license, technical data, organization chart, standard operation procedures, safety training program, and equipment warranty certificates, which all met the requirements.
In the afternoon the inspection team extensively examined the site, including power generators, HV substation, maintenance workshop and portal construction areas. Having discussed with workers, they highly recognized the efforts made on site standardization, safety management, and preventive measures.
The conclusion was made that JCHX & FOCON CONSORTIUM is operating with all required qualifications and licenses, technical documents, and working under safe condition and good environment, which set very good example for other mining companies.
