Recently JCHX won a first prize and a third prize in Scientific and Technological Award Competition of China Nonferrous Metals Industry in 2019.
This competition is an opportunity for JCHX to check the result of its reform in science and technology promotion. In the “Research on Key Technology for Highly Effective Mining at Extra Large Low-Grade Deposit with Low Cost”, JCHX carried out a series of research works based on its operation at Pulang Copper Mine where ore body is large and thick with big occurrence height using block caving method, it effectively solved the problem of unstable undercut structure. Bearing significant scientific value and practical meaning, the research was highly recognized by committee members, who considered JCHX’s new technology had reached world leading standard and which deserved a first prize.
In the “Research and Application of Efficient Drift Development and Relevant Processes in Phosphate Mines”, JCHX developed a technology of drilling & blasting with big relief hole as well as mechanized drilling with drill jumbo, to address the feature of frequent and large-scale blasting requirements at Kaiyang Phosphate Mine, and to improve development efficiency. The research was highly recognized by committee members who considered to award JCHX a third prize.
As the “Nobel Prize” for science and technology award in nonferrous industry, it was established at provincial level aiming to improve the sci-tech innovation, promote application of sci-tech research, and make research more productive. These 2 prizes fully demonstrated the power of JCHX in self-development, and laid a solid foundation for strengthening its sci-tech innovation capability.
