On June 16th, Wu Daoen, Head of Consular Protection Office of Chinese Embassy in Zambia, had a video call with employees of JCHX Overseas Division, extending deep concern and sincere blessings. More than 20 representatives including Wang Youcheng, VP of JCHX Mining and GM of JCHX Overseas Division, Zhou Shipan, DGM of JCHX Overseas Division, joined the online discussion.
As the COVID-19 continues to spread across the world, officers of Chinese Embassy in Zambia are deeply concerned with the physical and psychological health of employees of JCHX Overseas Division, a representative of many Chinese-funded private companies in Zambia.
During the discussion, Wu Daoen elaborately introduced responsibilities and functions of Chinese Embassy, imparted self-defense methods under emergencies. Wu also emphasized that Chinese companies in Zambia should adapt to local conditions, maintain normal production while taking efficient pandemic control measures, to ensure social stability as well as physical and psychological health of employees. Meanwhile, concrete and pragmatic advices on pandemic control and material supply were given.
Besides, Wu tended to the greatest concerns from employees, such as issues with flight tickets, medicines, and vaccines. Wu repeated the emergency contact number of Chinese Embassy and stressed that this line is open for 7*24hrs to assist Chinese citizens. At the end, Wu extended sincere invitation to JCHX employees to visit Chinese Embassy for it is the home for all Chinese citizens in Zambia.
Head Wu’s message reflected homeland’s concern for all overseas Chinese citizens, deeply warmed their hearts. Leaders of JCHX Overseas Division expressed great determination to fight against COVID-19 and maintain production without any compromise in the safety or health of employees.
