Successful Breakthrough Achieved at Kamoya Project

At 0:10 of 18 August, with the sound of a blasting, a successful breakthrough was achieved one-time at desired location in heavy duty decline on 1305mL of Kamoya project, which enables the connection between light duty decline and heavy duty decline and lays a solid foundation for improving production efficiency.

This breakthrough is a key work for 2# shaft, which effectively solves the problem of labor and equipment transportation while increasing efficiency.

Tremendous efforts were made by both Chinese survey engineers and local survey engineers in order to ensure successful breakthrough is achieved at one-time. Survey and measuring were executed per cycle, with underground control traverse regularly verified, 5600m+ traverse established, 2800m+ traverse frequently remeasured, all of which laid a solid foundation for the shaping and work quality of drift as well as successful breakthrough.

After the breakthrough, it was confirmed upon observation that the connection was achieved smoothly with accurate breakthrough, while quality standard was beyond satisfaction.
