Recently, hot commissioning of paste backfilling system with unclassified tailings was completed at Qijiaojing Iron Mine with daily backfilling volume of 300m³, meeting the Owner’s requirement.
The paste backfilling system at Qijiaojing Iron Mine is featured by high concentration, large flow, long distance and high stowing gradient. Each backfilling system is designed with a flow rate at 80m³/h, concentration of 74-78%, maximum pumping pressure at 10MPa and the longest delivery distance up to 3.2km, making it a very challenging work.
The project team on site spared no effort to overcome any difficulties. During the construction of backfilling system, they stood fast to put forward and implement pragmatic solutions through brainstorming, and ensured the timely completion of backfilling system.
The successful hot commissioning of backfilling system reduces underground mined out area, ensures a safer working environment and lays a solid foundation for future operation and production.
