On November 1, Metorex, the Owner of Musonoi Project, sent a warm congratulatory letter to JCHX for the monthly excavating and support record of 133m in Africa which is achieved by Musonoi Project in October, where the work target was overfulfilled with zero accident.

JCHX was awarded with the contract for Musonoi Project Main Shaft at Ruashi Mining, where 747m deep ⌀7.5m main shaft with 500mm thick plain concrete is the largest and deepest shaft in DRC. Great efforts and major progresses have been made since mobilization, despite of volatile weather, harsh conditions, complex geological condition and poorly constructed camp facilities. Besides, all employees of Musonoi Project surmounted all difficulties to achieve 110.2m excavating and support in September, and 133m in October which hits the record high.

It is pointed out in the letter that thanks to constant innovation, a fully mechanized operation is achieved in sinking, mucking, shutter erecting and grouting. Various techniques are promoted, such as changing 4m³ kibble to 5m³ to save kibble lifting times, setting mixing plant at shaft bank to reducing concrete transporting time, draining UG water to surface through trenches and deep shaft pump to reduce workface water, establishing fans and drainage pipes under shaft bank according to site conditions to reduce ventilation noise and enhance drainage, and constantly adjust blasting parameter to reduce powder consumption and promote blasting effect. Such remarkable achievement was impossible without the close cooperation with the Owner and JCHX’s unremitting effort to improve efficiency.

While expressing their sincere gratitude to JCHX team, the Owner also raised expectations that JCHX could continue to strengthen on-site fine management and pursue high work quality to make new progresses.
