Two Projects Won Excellent Quality Awards (Ministerial Level) of China Non-Ferrous Metal Industry

On 13 Dec, the Work Meeting for Quality Inspection on Construction Works of China Non-Ferrous Metal Industry was held in Lanzhou, during which the Excellent Quality Awards for 2021 of China Non-Ferrous Metal Industry were presented, two projects undertaken by JCHX were awarded with such honor, respectively are Ore Drawing System for Sinking & Driving Engineering Project of Phase I Production at Pulang Copper Mine and Main Adit on 1170mL for 8mtpa Production Expansion Project at Kaiyang Phosphate Mine.

Mr. Genming ZHOU, VP of JCHX attended the meeting and received the awards on behalf of the company.

Located in Diqing Autonomous Prefecture of Yunnan Province, at an altitude between 3500m and 4500m, Pulang Copper Mine is a key project supported by the Central Government to realize leapfrog development in Tibetan areas. With block caving method and a designed capacity of 12.5 mtpa, the project features safety, efficiency and low cost, while facing construction challenges arising from large structural stress, complicated geologic conditions and plateau environment.

The scope of work under 8mtpa Production Expansion Project at Kaiyang Phosphate Mine include renovation to the existing haulage system, ventilation system, and air exhaust system in Yongshaba Block, Maluping Block, Shabatu Block, Jile Block and Liangchahe Block, so as to increase the production capacity from 4mtpa to 8mtpa.

These two awards reflect the rich experiences and knowledges of JCHX from past two decades, and represent a good start for the fifth five-year development strategy.
