Under the strong leadership of JCHX Overseas Division & Headquarters, Kinsey project achieved an output of 152,900t in Q1, hitting a record high, despite all the adverse impacts such as pandemic and insufficient manpower & equipment.

Established in 2019, Kinsey project is undertaking the mine development works for Zijin Serbia, from whom Kinsey received high recognition in 2021 for its remarkable work performance and achievement.

Targeting at fulfilling the 2022 annual target as specified by the Client, Kinsey project held several special sessions to prepare work plans and proactively exchanged with the Employer in terms of constructive advices on how to guarantee the effective implementation of plans.

In Q1 2022, the project optimized management by assigning designated operators to designated equipment and work places to enable tracking and evaluation of performances; adjusted drilling crews to build high-capability teams and improve work efficiency; set examples and implemented “elimination of the least competent” system to foster a competitive working environment. Besides, truck drivers were guided by LHD operators during ore loading and hauling to minimize LHD waiting time, improve loading efficiency and shorten cycle time. By doing so, the project once finished two working cycles within one shift in March.

The battery limit for Kinsey project includes stopes on -80mL, located at the top of upper orebody of Cukaru-Peki Copper & Gold Mine, featuring complicated geological conditions. In view of the limited mining area, focuses were mainly placed on optimizing mining and backfilling procedures as follows:

1.Strengthen backfilling preparation, improve cycle efficiency of stoping and filling through delicacy management of work procedures;

2.Strictly control the quality of filling pipes and signal pipes to ensure accurate pipe installation and tight roof-contact, so as to mitigate safety risks; and

3.Effectively strengthen construction management for drift development by preparing flexible incentive mechanism to ensure maximum effective hours of equipment, increase cycle efficiencies. In March, a maximum of 223m advancement was achieved by one drilling jumbo (BM282).
