JCHX Overseas Workshop recently successfully completed a technical validation-based maintenance to Volvo engine (model TAD1345VE).
With more TAD1342VE engines put into use at overseas operations, frequency of equipment failures is increased. In view of which the overseas workshop decided to carry out in-house maintenance of such engine with an aim to reduce cost while expanding service scope and enhancing maintenance capability.
Due to the lack of experience on maintaining such engine, the mechanical engineers reviewed massive data before dismantling. Parameters of key parts and components were carefully measured and recorded with photos and videos taken as required for archiving.
During maintenance, specialists strictly complied with technical standards to ensure all procedures were meticulously followed with double-check implemented, covering the entire process from dismantling, parts cleaning and identification, failure analysis, maintenance plan preparation, drafting & submission of spare parts plan, parts repairing, re-assembling and de-bugging, so as to guarantee maintenance quality.
Under the joint efforts of Chinese and Zambian specialists, the maintenance of Volvo engine was successfully completed with satisfactory test result.
