The first 6m³ LHD was successfully lowered to the underground work face recently at Southeast Orebody of Chambishi Copper Mine through scientific and detailed plan, which provided strong support to improve the production efficiency and laid a solid ground for future equipment maneuver.

Under the support of JCHX Overseas Division and Headquarters, two 6m³ LHDs were delivered to the site one month ahead of schedule. To facilitate equipment lowering, the project made detailed preparations including labor training. Besides, to expedite the operation of new LHDs, the project worked with the Employer to prepare 6m³ LHD Lowering Instructions with specific work plan and method stipulated.

LHD was disassembled before being lowered, with cage space and platform condition double checked to ensure the safety during lowering process.

The disassembled LHD was lowered to the inset 980m below the surface, and was hauled to the designated location through rigid tow-bar and loader running with constant speed, to guarantee safety.
